Performance Technology Group Awarded networkMaryland™ Services Contract

Baltimore, Maryland – March 21, 2008 – The State of Maryland, Department of Budget & Management (DBM), awarded Performance Technology Group, Inc. (PTG) a three-year contract to remotely monitor, manage and support networkMaryland™.

networkMaryland™ is Maryland’s private, statewide high speed data network for state agencies in each of the 23 State counties and the City of Baltimore. networkMaryland™ provides the following three primary services to its subscribers: (1) access to the Internet, (2) access to and management of a private, routed statewide Intranet called SwGI and (3) network services among subscriber locations.

Headquartered in Baltimore, PTG is a premier provider of systems engineering and technology management services for commercial, State and Federal customers requiring high reliability and security. Clients include McCormick & Company, Inc., American Radiology Services, Knoll Furniture and Johns Hopkins. Founded in 1996, PTG became the first managed technology provider in Baltimore to become SAS 70 Type II Certified.
